Even if it costs me my life

I feel a bit bad, because I still didn't put up the b-day gift for ma buddy , until now.^^

At 1st, I wanted to make this into a comic panel for the TGAF (TGH soon) mini-arc preview I mentioned before in the Grimmoro the Tidewalker profile, but than I figured, "eh, what the heck!".
I only got to do Elson-boy's Ashworth the Wombat once and a half in the previous 2 pages and I never got to try Ruby too. I needed some exercise.


Plot wise of this scene:

After Ash, Fei and Parmir decided to join forces to fight Grimmoro together, he uses one of his unique abilities, causing him to grow 5 meters tall. Of course it didn't take long for Parmir to notice a weakness in his ability and exploit it. In a devastating combo attack from all 3, Grimmoro was laying in a crater (created by Ash's double Phantom Flame Impact) unconscious, shrinking back to his original size.
Just as it seemed that it was over, it started to rain, awakening him again. Tired of playing games with them, he uses Energy Feedback, causing all the fat stored in his body to erupt through his entire organism in form of enhanced muscles, drastically increasing not only his stregnth, but also his agility and resilience. With Fei and Parmir being brought down in few mere seconds, Ash was the last left standing. Using all the possible Furious Flame abilities (except the forbidden ones), he couldn't even make a dent in his hide. However, when he used Tremendous Steel and hitting him in the face with it, nearly cracking his skull, Grimmoro went into a fit of rage and started to mercilessly pummel Ash into the ground. In meantime, Ruby arrives at the scene, shocked at the sight at what's happening. Her Griffus sent his fireballs on him, but instead of hurting him, she only diverted his attention on herself. The tremendous aura coming from Grimmoro sent Ruby's summoned friend back into the Netherworld just by one look. As he slowly walked toward her, Ashworth surprisingly, but barely still able to hold his ground, intervened and shielded Ruby.

Ashworth: I don't care what happens to me. You can pummel me to the very core of the planet for all I care...*pant* But if you intend to even lay a finger on her, I swear... I WILL PROTECT HER EVEN IF IT COSTS ME MY LIFE!!!

Ruby: Ash... *slight blush*

What will happened next? Will Ash be able to protect Ruby from the sea giant or will the colossal prevail?
